Equine icing/cooling hock wraps are extremely easy to use. Our design utilizes two attachable straps that pull to the outside of leg providing compression and allows for the horse to move freely during icing or cooling. Remember to always use precautions when introducing a new product to your horse.Simply wet, wring out the excess water and place in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes for ultimate icing, if a freezer is unavailable, simply place in a cooler with ice and water. Our recommended icing time is 10 minutes. **If an area has been shaved for surgical procedures or for diagnosis, utilize some type of protective layer between the wrap and the skin. Always check with your veterinarian or your healthcare professional for recommend icing times. **Remember, evaporation occurs naturally in the freezer. If products are going to be in the freezer past the recommended freezing time, place in an airtight bag.
