There are two outer rings for normal rides when you do want your dog to pull the bike. The outer-ring-looser-collar will load the outside shoulder rather than up against the throat. The design allows you to not have to switch collars or harnesses in between rides and walks. When attached to the center ring, the smaller martingale loop keeps your dog from slipping out of the collar by reducing the size. The collar circumference adjusts from 13.5 to 24 inches. Just measure the distance around your dog's neck in inches to determine size.
