This cat food shelf can be installed on its own or connected to other furniture as a fun extension. We use bamboo which is a solid material that has allowed for a thinner and sleeker design. Our Cork Traction Pads are made from cork fabric. This is made with natural cork bonded with a highly durable blend of cotton and polyester to prevent the cork from chipping away like normal cork tends to do on its own. This allows your cat to slightly claw into the material for extra grip while being extremely resistant to punctures. - Why Cork? In addition to providing durable feline traction, cork fabric is a great material to use from an environmental standpoint. Cork forestry is some of the most sustainable forest practices on the planet. Cork is renewable, biodegradable, and can be recycled without producing any harmful residues. Since the trees are harvested rather than cut down, cork oak trees are hand-harvested every nine years. These trees have a lifespan of around 300 years. The harvesting process does not harm the tree, making it completely sustainable. - Washing instructions: To clean your Cork Pads, we suggest using a cloth dampened with water or making a solution with water and a small amount of soap. - About Us: Catastrophic Creations started way back in 2013 after we brought home our first cat, Ickle.
