How did you come up with the idea for this product?
It all starts with a name. We know ours is unconventional. We also know it’s the name of a pretty rad album by the Avett Brothers (lighters up, y’all!). But for us, our name symbolizes the incredible bond between a human and a pet. That love and allegiance is a two way street with purrs and wags in between. Pets give us undying devotion, and we give pets the best food, the best love, and the best goofy Halloween costumes.
What makes your product special?
We’re all about that bond, and we love being a part of it. With the help of holistic veterinarians, our grain free food and treats are formulated to include complete, whole-food nutrition that you and your pets will love. Wholesome? Oh yeah. Premium ingredients? You bet. We’re here for you and your furry friend forever and ever. Every one of our products has been formulated to include the optimal combination of complete, whole-food nutrition, freshness, and premium ingredients your pets will wag over. What has been the best part of your startup experience?
“I and love and you” is a young company, but we’re starting off on the right foot. Paw. Foot? Foot-paw? Sure. The steps we’ve taken are just the start of our trip as we wind our way along the path of sustainability. And for us, green living and being kind to the planet isn’t a destination. It’s a journey. Our corporate HQ in Boulder, CO is 100% wind powered, employees use alternative transportation to get to work, we purchase carbon offsets for all of our travel and we are founding members of the Pet Industry Sustainability Coalition.
