The leather used differs from industrially produced leather in both the production and the final treatment. The raw material for the Wildfang® leather bone comes exclusively from cows from EU farms that have the animal welfare certificate. It is then tanned naturally with plant extracts and treated by hand with olive oil and fats. Chewing on the softer chew reduces stress and the dog can relax better. The material is harmless even if the leather bone is broken down into many small pieces after playing.

Is it bad if my dog ​​eats the leather?
No, the leather chew bone can be eaten by your dog without any concerns. It is made from 100% untreated cowhide and is therefore completely harmless.

How is the leather tanned?
The production of cowhide that we use for our leather bones is a vegetable tanning process. The hides are covered with different layers of natural fats and olive oils, and the process is done by hand in our workshop.
