Description

Nekton-Q contains vitamins, with an especially high proportion of vitamin K, for convalescing birds and birds in quarantine. It should also be used as a daily supplement for fig parrots and other birds that have a high vitamin K requirement. Vitamin K is needed for proper blood coagulation, which is hindered when a bird is being treated with antibiotics, sulfonamides, or is stressed. Additionally, Nekton-Q has high amounts of vitamin A to support the epithelial tissues and vitamin E to bolster the immune system and counter balance the hindrance of vitamin E absorption caused by higher amounts of vitamin A. Nekton-Q is soluble in cold water and should be added to a birds drinking water.
