I bought the Penn-Plax Cascade 500 for my 20-gallon aquarium, and it works like a charm. It’s super quiet and does a fantastic job filtering at 115 GPH. Easy to set up, I had it running in no time. My fish seem much happier now!

Decent filter, but some setup issues
The Cascade 500 does a decent job for my 30-gallon tank, but I did have some trouble with the initial setup. The instructions were a bit unclear, and it took longer than I expected. Now that it’s running, it’s quite effective at keeping the water clear, just wish it was easier to get started!

Stopped working after a month
I was really disappointed with the Penn-Plax Cascade filter. It worked great for the first few weeks, but then it just stopped pumping water. I tried cleaning it, but nothing helped. I expected more durability for the price. Not happy at all.
