The PetAg Nursing Kit contains all the equipment you need to feed newborn animals-including a bottle, several nipples of varying shapes, and a cleaning brush. These bottles and nipples are specially designed for small and large babies. This 2-ounce bottle set is ideal for small animals, while PetAg's 4-ounce bottle is better for larger animals. Bottle feeding allows the animal to refuse formula when full. Nursing action develops facial muscles and stimulates the normal flow of saliva. The bottle is durable enough to stand up to repeated use and marked with graduations to make monitoring food intake easier and to help from over or under-feeding. The nipples are elongated and balloon-style for longer palates, wildlife, and exotic species, and are constructed of durable, flexible silicon that is readily acceptable and latex-free. The cleaning brush is sized specifically for the bottle to make washing thorough and easy. The bottle capacity is 2 ounces. PetAg, Inc. provides pet owners and animal professionals with the most effective pet products, including milk replacers, nutritional and health supplements, and grooming supplies. Before use, make a hole in the nipple using one of the following methods: Crosscut nipple with a razor blade Using a strong needle or cuticle scissors, enter and exit the tip of the nipple as though you were making a very small stitch or snip. Pull the needle out, removing a small piece of the nipple. Check flow with water. A steady drip or thin stream should be achieved when slight pressure is applied to the nipple. If one or more of the animals you're feeding is ill, use a different bottle or feed the ill animal last. Wash bottle, cap, and nipple with hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly after each feeding session. If the animal is too small or weak to nurse, consult your veterinarian.
